Underground Comix

If I thought Blankets was hard to get into, Underground comixs just seemed to be impossible. Everything about that just wasn't to my interest. The style of art and the content just nearly made me close out of it.

Everything that made undercomixs what they were, were things I didn't read about normally. I tried Zap comixs first. I managed to get around half way though the comic before I just didn't care anymore. The art wasn't too bad. Something I had gotten use to after endless hours on the internet. Half the time is was a fun stylization that was interesting to look at. What made me stop was content. They were things I not only didn't care about, but actively avoided when I was read for my own enjoyment.

After closing Zap I tried another comix giving the genre a second chance. That comix was Fat Freddy's cat.

I honestly should have known better. The story was strange and random but I enjoyed it enough to finish reading this one. The style of comic was very close to the same of Zap comixs with every ounce of strange. While this one was every bit as nonsensical, It had a little bit more story than before giving me intrest enough to finish.

All in all, Underground Comix are probably not something I'll come back too.
